TRIPOD STOOL

Functional and aesthetic furniture piece designed by Giacomo Castagnola, consisting of three metal legs supporting a circular seat.

Born in Lima, Peru, Giacomo Castagnola has experienced various cultures and urban realities throughout his career. For a period, he resided and worked in the Tijuana/San Diego region, where he founded Germen, an architecture and design studio that researched "informal" self-constructed cities, which account for up to 40% of urban infrastructure in many Latin American cities.

Currently, Castagnola divides his time between Mexico City and San Francisco, where he dedicates himself to architectural projects for exhibitions and museography. He approaches these projects by considering the museum as a public space, exploring the interstitial space between documents, the body, furniture, and architecture itself. He seeks to establish a dialogue between art, culture, and public space.
