The Serbian-style chef's knives are incredibly powerful kitchen knives that resemble a traditional butcher's hatchet. They have great edge retention and incredibly sturdy construction, making them very easy to maintain.

Due to their shape and size, they can be used for a wide range of kitchen tasks, including some for which traditional chef's knives might not be very suitable. Use them for everyday tasks like chopping, slicing, cleaving, dicing, mincing, etc., but also for food transportation, crushing garlic, and applying pressure, among other tasks that leverage their surface. These Serbian-style knives are hand-forged using ancient blacksmithing techniques and high-carbon steel, giving them a rigidity and density that makes them some of the most resilient knives available.

About Ojeda Knives: The crafting process is a tradition that has been passed down through 14 generations. Artisans from Sayula are renowned for their skill and expertise in forging high-quality knives. Each knife is hand-forged with high-quality steel, ensuring its durability and performance.

These knives are highly appreciated in Mexican cuisine and worldwide for their ability to maintain an exceptional edge. The blade is known for its distinctive design and its ability to stay sharp for a long time. They are essential tools in the kitchen, used by both professional chefs and enthusiasts.

Care for Tempered Steel

420 stainless steel is a type of martensitic steel, known for its corrosion resistance and hardness. It remains magnetic under any conditions.

Cleaning: Wash the steel with warm water and a mild detergent. Dry immediately with a clean, dry cloth to prevent staining.

Storage: Store the steel in a dry place to prevent rust. You can apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the metal parts if it will not be used for an extended period.

Avoid exposure to moisture: Tempered steel is prone to corrosion when constantly exposed to moisture.

Avoid leaving it in humid environments. Avoid contact with corrosive substances: Keep the steel away from corrosive chemicals that could damage its surface.

Maintenance: Ensure the blade's edge is kept in optimal condition using a sharpening rod or steel sharpener. A sharp knife is safer and more efficient.

Safety: Keep tempered steel knives out of the reach of children and use them only for their intended purpose, which is cutting food.

Ojeda Knives Warranty: 100% warranty on the knife blade against any manufacturing defects. Please note that handle materials are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. However, in case of severe damage, they may be evaluated and, at the manufacturer's discretion, replaced.
