One of Guanajuato's most illustrious figures is Diego Rivera. Although he lived there only briefly during his childhood, certain corners of the state inevitably find their way into his paintings. The same is true of certain figures, such as the miners, whose labor is a defining element in the painter's work, which we explore in this publication.
