To her vast body of work as a designer must be added another very important and practically unknown contribution: her production of critical texts on design. The writings that Porset published in Cuban, American, and Mexican media between 1930 and 1965 reflect her intellectual rigor and extensive practical experience as a design professional. In them, we also find the questions she posed to herself about the state of design and its future. It was in these publications that Porset documented her research in detail, expressed her ideas, and outlined the possible scenarios in which she saw design as a tool for change to improve daily life, especially among disadvantaged social groups, the rural and working classes of a country in the midst of reconstruction after the Mexican Revolution.
