Made from volcanic stone, this grill comal is ideal for cooking foods such as meats, seafood, vegetables, and more. It can be heated in the oven, on the grill, or even over direct wood fire for a few minutes. The dish can be used for serving and keeping food warm and/or slow cooking during mealtime. The volcanic stone evenly transfers heat to the food, allowing for a firm and uniform cooking across its entire surface. The stones are reusable and easy to clean, making them an excellent choice for any home or professional chef looking for a unique cooking method.

Use & Care. Stone Comal

Preparation: Begin by thoroughly washing the stone on both sides with hot water and soap. Use a brush or sponge, and then allow it to air dry.

Once completely dry, heat the stone by placing it over high heat for 5 minutes. Pour an ample amount of vegetable oil onto the surface and spread it using tongs and paper towels, ensuring that every part is covered, including the edges and the back. Allow the stone to cool completely at room temperature so it can absorb all the oil.

Regular use: After use, heat it with some water and soap to remove any food residue. Then, let it cool and gently clean it with a sponge and a bit of soap. Make sure it's completely dry before storing it, and apply a thin layer of oil with a paper towel.
