"In Slow Motion" is the debut album by Björn Granzow (The End Of The World Championship). The result of using a Mopho x4 synthesizer (Dave Smith Instruments) plus digitally processed field recordings. After working with the guitar for a few years, he moved to keyboards and began recording thanks to recommendations and creative dialogue with Nicholas Szczepanik. We have two 20-minute drone pieces here. The growth of vibrations is the protagonist here. The ambient wave is not static and eternally antiseptic; on the contrary, the permanence of a note always announces the flight of the next. Granzow's proposal is imbued with a strong dose of dizzying and cloudy shoegaze, and unsettling synthesizer music. There's constant drama and rhythmic drone. In Björn Granzow's work, one can detect ancestral emotional tones and the weight of Steve Roach, as well as the oscillatory intensity of Terry Riley. "In Slow Motion" is composed of two pieces, finely mastered for this occasion by Lawrence English, revealing a great start for The End Of The World Championship.

All music by Björn Granzow. Photos and design by Daniel Castrejón.
