These artworks are 6-color screen printed adaptation of the series that translates the architecture, colors, and idiosyncrasies of Mexico City into bits of hand-cut paper. While walking the streets, Sophie draws inspiration from the tablecloths in local diners, trees pruned into animal shapes, and hand-painted typography on microbuses. Her work plays with the concept of space, evoking shadow, light, and dimension within the confines that the material allows.
