"In every school in Chile, and perhaps in the world, there is a slightly distracted child, sliding the pencil over the notebook," writes Fabrizio Copano, recalling those years when his family moved from Macul to La Florida, read many comics, had no friends, and, above all, drew.

He doesn't do it anymore, and to a large extent, that's the reason why he has written this book that evokes something like his prehistory, when he invented the comic strip Celso Honor (an amazing priest-superhero who saves the city) or started working at Condorito. A story of initiation, an exercise in introspection, or an involuntary x-ray of the booming Chile at the end of the century: My life as a draftsman is all that and more: a book that reveals the ability to observe, the handling of irony, and the talent to recreate his own experiences, that is, the attributes that have made Copano a central figure in Latin American stand-up comedy.

Fabrizio Copano (Santiago, 1989) is one of the emerging Latin comedians with the most projection today. He has performed at important comedy clubs in the United States, such as the Hollywood Improv, the Laugh Factory, and the legendary Comedy Store. In addition, in 2017, he was at the International Song Festival of Viña del Mar and has been part of the New York Comedy Fest, the San Diego Comedy Fest, and, in Australia, the Hispanic Comedy Fest. In parallel with his comedy specials on Netflix and Comedy Central Latin America, this year he recorded his first English presentation for BBC4 in England. He has also been a columnist for the newspaper The Clinic and for television, he worked on The Comedy Club, Canal Copano, The Comedian's Journey, among several other television programs.
