With a gaze capable of finding an interesting angle even in the rubbish heap of a workshop, photographer Tomás Casademunt visited the artisans in Mexico and Spain who make plaster saints, virgins and Christs. The result is an involuntary collage of holy and profane things transformed by the photographer's eye into true aesthetic compositions. The poet Álvaro Mutis wrote a few words for each of them.
