More than a photo essay, "Lo que el mar me dejó" is an exercise in exploration that oscillates between illusion and reality. Lourdes Almeida shows women who seem to unite with the sea, while others look at it with longing. Sealtiel Alatriste addresses a topic rarely mentioned in her work, but which is, perhaps, the axis of this essay: illusion.
