BOOK / THE IRRATIONAL HOUSE. Pedro Friedeberg
Arts
This exhibition honors the term irrational, where each piece of furniture has not been made to function and the objects serve only to decorate each space in a motley way.
Pedro Friedeberg is perhaps the last representative of surrealism. Based on his architectural studies and a protest against functionalism, he established anti-architecture as one of his main lines of work.
The work explores the artist's work and thought and his obsession with the living space of the house, furniture and objects without function, through illustrated articles by researchers such as Ida Rodriguez Prampolini, Karen Cordero, Ignacio Prado, Alejandro Sordo, Susan Crowley, Patricia Ruiz-Healy and Dan Cameron.
