In 1971, at the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City, national rock stars met with acrobats, strippers, magicians, among others, to carry out a counterculture meeting that was unique in its kind. This event, in the context of the Avándaro rock festival, unleashed the fiercest criticism from the right, achieving, in addition to a generalized censorship of rock in Mexico, the dismissal of the then director of the INBA.
