Christophe von Hehenberg has spent more than seven years portraying the complex society of contemporary Mexico City. Through his images, he shows the plurality and intense activity that is experienced on a daily basis. A tour of its most authentic neighborhoods and streets where Von Hohenberg's portraits surprise with their spontaneity and ability to express the essence of the subjectivity that is experienced in this city. Shadows of the Gods documents the artistic creation scene in Mexico, without prejudice or stereotypes, placing all of its characters on a par. Here, any type of art has the same value through his lens, from those with an international career such as Teodoro González de León (architect), Graciela Iturbide (photographer), Ignacio López Tarso (actor), Betsabeé Romero (visual artist) and Vicente Rojo (painter); to great street artists with unknown names.
