In this anthology of manifestos, articles, interviews, and letters (eight of which are previously unpublished), alongside his theorization of spatialism, the artist's views on contemporary art and the various fields he explored emerge. Based on the Italian edition Manifesti scritti interviste, edited by Angela Sanna and published by Abscondita (Milan), this Spanish version, translated by Valerio Negri and Susana E. Echevarría, confirms the importance not only of Fontana's work but also of his active role as a cultural promoter and his artistic legacy, which gave rise to the practices that developed from the 1950s onward. The book also defines other facets of the Italian-Argentine artist's life through the interviews he gave to critics, journalists, and intellectuals of his time.
