Regarding the comic's origins, David Sánchez confesses to being a fan of American music from the 1950s and 1960s, and that this was an important source of inspiration for the setting of You've Killed Me. His immediate surroundings were also conducive to the creation of some of his characters: he says his neighbors are American Mormons, and that one day some Jehovah's Witnesses knocked on his door to give him pamphlets, which suddenly fueled his imagination…
